This gorgeous gemstone is Pietersite from Namibia, South Africa. Pietersite, also know as the Tempest Stone, is very rare with only two known localities, one of which is no longer active. Pietersite is a silicified Riebeckite with Limonite and a member of the Quartz family.

This exceptionally striking example features outstanding chatoyance in velvety, swirling patterns that dance with the light contrasted with deep blue, black and grey hues. In a pretty heart shape, it is the perfect accessory for everyday wearing. It also comes complete with a solid silver chain.
