Beautiful Ocean Jasper Heart Necklace - Natural Designer Gemstone

This beautiful gemstone is Ocean Jasper from Madagascar.  Ocean Jasper is unique to Madagascar and has only been found in a small number of locations on the entire island.

Ocean Jasper was first discovered in 1922. Ocean Jasper is not unlike most of the other gems in the mainstream market in that it has been given a simple trade name.  This stone is in fact a spherulitic variety of chalcedony.  Spherulite is a term for the radiating structures we call orbs.

It is believed that Ocean Jasper draws its soothing power from the element of Water. These are excellent healing stones that stimulate the heart to encourage the feeling of joy and happiness releasing negative feelings. It is a stone often used in meditation as a transition aid.
