This stunning, romantic heart shaped organic gemstone is a fossilised Red Horn Coral from Utah, the USA.  

Horn coral is actually ancient sea life. Red Horn Coral is about 390 million years old. As the earth evolved, the inland sea receded and sediments covered the coral reefs. Over time the structure of the ancient horn coral was fossilised.

The red coral is an important gemstone that is associated with Mars. This makes it ideal for people born under the signs of Aries and Scorpio.
